Director of Sync & Creative Development

Eighti Republic is seeking a Director of Sync & Creative Development to help build the company’s music placement division across film, television, gaming, advertising, trailers, fashion campaigns, social media, and emerging digital media. This role is responsible for identifying placement opportunities, organizing creative talent, pitching records to briefs, and helping develop a scalable sync ecosystem inside the company.

The ideal candidate understands both the creative and business side of music. This person should have a strong ear for music, strong communication skills, and the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced independent label environment. Experience with music licensing, A&R, publishing, production coordination, or creative development is preferred.  

 

Responsibilities

• Source and organize producers, songwriters, vocalists, and artists for sync-focused sessions

• Respond to sync briefs for TV, film, advertising, gaming, trailers, and digital campaigns

• Coordinate creative collaborations to match styles, moods, and commercial opportunities

• Build relationships with music supervisors, agencies, publishers, creative directors, and media contacts

• Maintain organized catalogs, metadata, stems, split sheets, and licensing information

• Assist in preparing playlists, pitch decks, and music submissions for sync opportunities

• Work alongside marketing and production teams to maximize placement potential

• Help oversee quality control of records intended for commercial licensing

• Identify trending sounds, commercial opportunities, and emerging creative markets

• Support long-term development of Eighti Republic’s sync infrastructure

 

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of modern music culture and commercial music trends

• Knowledge of sync licensing, publishing, and rights management is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong networking and communication skills

• Organized with high attention to detail

• Experience in music production, artist development, A&R, creative direction, or licensing is a plus

• Familiarity with metadata, split sheets, and music delivery standards preferred
